How the Poshmark referral program works
Poshmark gives the friend 10 dollars in Posh Credit at signup and the referrer 10 dollars once that friend has received their first purchase. The invite code is simply the referrer's username, so it is public and permanent. Orders must reach 15 dollars to qualify.
What the program pays
What makes this program different
The username as the referral code. Every Poshmark seller's handle is already on every listing they publish, so the referral code is distributed continuously by the act of selling. There is no separate link to find, share or lose, and no code that can expire.
Why it works
A code that is also a public identity is shared thousands of times without anyone deciding to share it.
Paying on the order being RECEIVED, not placed, means the reward follows a completed transaction on both sides of a resale marketplace.
A 15-dollar minimum keeps the 10-dollar credit off the smallest orders, where it would exceed the margin.
Uncapped earnings suit a marketplace where the most active sellers are also the best recruiters.
What to copy
- If your users already have a public handle, consider making it the code. Distribution then costs nothing.
- Settle on delivery rather than purchase where the transaction can still fail after payment.
- Set a minimum order above the reward, or the referral costs more than the sale earns.
- Because the invite code is a public username, anyone can enter any seller's handle at signup without that seller's involvement. Poshmark publishes no expiry on Posh Credit in this article, and this describes the US programme; other markets have their own terms and amounts.
Poshmark referrals, answered
What is my Poshmark invite code?
Your Poshmark username. There is no separate code to generate or find, which means it is already visible on everything you list.
When does the Poshmark referrer get paid?
Once the referred friend has received their first purchase, not when they place it. The order must also be at least 15 dollars.
Is there a limit on Poshmark referral earnings?
No. Poshmark states there is no limit on how much can be earned through referrals.
